Sodium – chemical element with symbol Na. It is a mineral that is stored in the human body primarily in extracellular fluids and bones. Sodium is the most often supplied to the body with table salt and products containing this ingredient, incl. cold cuts or bread.

Glucose, also called grape sugar, is an organic chemical compound that belongs to the group of monosaccharides. It is an ingredient into which all complex carbohydrates supplied to the body with food are broken down. Glucose absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract into the blood is the primary source of energy and at the same time has a positive effect on the bioavailability of electrolytes.

Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is an essential organic chemical compound classified as a water-soluble vitamin. It is an exogenous substance that the body cannot synthesize on its own, which is why it is necessary to supply the compound to the body from outside. The ingredient can be found in food in fresh fruit and vegetables, incl. peppers, kohlrabi, oranges or blackcurrants, as well as in dietary supplements.

Properties of the ingredients contained in OstroVit Electrolytes

Potassium helps in the proper functioning of the nervous system and supports the proper functioning of muscles. In addition, it helps to maintain optimal blood pressure.

Vitamin C helps in the proper functioning of the immune system and also supports the maintenance of the proper functioning of the immune system during and after intense physical exercise. In addition, L-ascorbic acid supports the normal production of collagen to ensure the optimal functioning of blood vessels, bones, cartilage and gums, as well as teeth and skin. The substance also contributes to the maintenance of proper energy metabolism and the optimal functioning of the nervous system. Vitamin C helps to reduce tiredness and fatigue, and what is more, it supports the maintenance of normal psychological functions and helps protect cells from oxidative stress.
